It can affect consumers in many ways, but there are also many ways to safeguard your identity and assist you if you have been a victim of such frauds.

Subscribe To FusionFoot.com Feeds Part 2

This is an update to Subscribe To FusionFoot.com Feeds which I posted to introduce the email subscription form to subscribe to the feeds of this blog and get the updates delivered to your inbox by Feedburner. The form was initially situated at the bottom the sidebar, but is no longer there.

I believe a lot of the blog readers were not noticing the form at the bottom, so I now moved it in the top bar right under the FusionFoot banner and the subscriptions have increased by atleast 200%. That means I have more loyal readers than I thought I had ;)

Here is a new screenshot of the form:

What Do You Know About Structured Settlements

Structured settlements are simply financial or insurance arrangements to pay an amount over time. Your structured settlement can include monthly payments, lump sum payments, annual payments, or a combination of each. However, they only represent one form of advance funding. There are also cash flow factoring companies that can help you get cash now, such as for your annuity, lottery payments, or even by selling your life insurance settlement. Whether you are looking for a cash payout on structured settlement like an insurance settlement paid by annuity or lottery or prize winnings, structuredsettlement-quotes.com offers flexible and individually tailored plans to meet your specific financial goals.

A structured settlement is a term that generally refers to a deferred payment obligation, for example, resulting from the settlement of a personal injury lawsuit. A structured settlement’s main purpose was designed to pay out over time, but you need the money now. In order to meet their financial needs, individuals choose to transfer their payment rights to structured settlement factoring companies for a lump sum.

Settlement Quotes, LLC provides lump sum solutions for many types of payment streams including structured settlements, annuities, notes, and lottery payments. They will examine your needs, your current financial situation, and your structured settlement payment stream to determine the most cost effective means of turning your future payments into the money you need now. Check out structuredsettlement-quotes.com and get your questions answered.

WARNING: This video is not intended for the weak hearted. Please seek medical advice first.

Just kidding! It’s just a optical illusion video. After you stare the center of the video for some minutes, you might start seeing aliens around you :-P I wonder why some of the comments said it’s scary, it didn’t scare me at all. Or maybe I should have stared for an hour. After which I’m sure I would have puked.

Try it if you dare…

Long before there was Twitter, there was AOL

When Twitter suffered a brown-out last weekend, the “twitterati” had a collective conniption. I suppose the good news for co-founders Evan Williams and Biz Stone is that the bad news kicked up such a storm. Lots of people are so addicted to Twitter that the intermittent problems wreaked havoc with their daily routine.

Apparently, Twitter seems to be the next big thing after sliced bread just like Facebook, Xanga, MySpace and the likes. The Internet is just too dynamic for Twitter to stick around for long(at least from my point of view). It might last a few years but sooner or later there will be a new bigger thing again. That’s just the way the Internet is, it’s fast and dynamic.

Like years ago, I remember Angelfire and Geocities were a big hit, I had my first website on Geocities and now what? I’m not even sure if my first site is still online, I don’t even remember the URL and I don’t care. I created it, talked about it for a few days/weeks and I moved on.

Some Enlightenments About Entrecard

If you read the post about the new 125×125 FusionFoot logo, you will recall I mentioned creating the logo to use on a website called Entrecard. I talked very briefly about it then because I was more excited to show the newly created logo, so today I decided to do some enlightenment about what Entrecard is all about, at least what I understood after using it for 2 days now.

Entrecard Homepage

So basically, Entrecard is a system to use or share internet business cards for telling other blog owners and authors to come and visit your site. This is done by dropping your card on the site where you see the Entrecard widget. Similarly you will also have an Entrecard widget on your site where other users who come across your site can drop their cards and invite you to visit their site. You actually get to see a list of all cards dropped in a row situated at the top of your personal dashboard, so if a card catches your attention you can go ahead and visit the site.

Now the Entrecard widget’s actual use is to sell advertising space in return for Entrecard credits. You get a certain amount of credits for showing an advertiser’s logo or card on your site for a day. You get to approve or decline the advertiser from your dashboard so you can choose whose logo you want to show or not. After the advertiser’s logo has been on your site for a day, it disappears and the next one in queue is showed in your widget.

Most sites I have seen place this widget somewhere at the bottom or middle on the site, but I have placed mine right on the top where it is very visible. I hope that advertisers will realize that they will get more clicks from my site and advertise with me. Well, that’s just temporary though, so that I can gather some credits. So if you want to advertise your Entrecard logo with me, do it now, while the widget is still on top.

At the moment, Entrecard is also collecting information for the pricing in real Dollars for the credits so that in future, if you have unused credits, you can trade them for cash with other users.

My Facebook Profile

Hi,

As mentioned in a previous post, I finally decided to sign up with Facebook and check out what this craze is all about. It is pretty cool I must say, but as usual I don’t like the idea of not having total freedom of “my space”. But I have decided to be active on Facebook because it enabled me to get in touch again with some old friends I lost contact with.

For the time being, I’m exploring the Facebook applications that I can add to my page or profile. There are so many of them. If I had time, I think I would come up with ideas to create a lot of applications. Unfortunately time is a big problem and one person alone can not do all the things in the world(although it would be so great!). I think if properly planned, these applications can be really beneficial to the promotion and marketing of some businesses.

Check out my profile on Facebook, I;m sure you will recognise the picture ;-) Oh yes, there is one cool application on Facebook called “Sketch Me”, it generates a pencil sketch of your profile picture. That’s really cool. Here is how my sketch looks like:

Zuberr’s Pencil Sketch

It makes me look kinda old, but it’s not bad. I like it. Anyways, check me on Facebook, if you are already a member, add me as a friend to connect with me. If you haven’t joined Facebook, I think you should, you will surely find something that you like among the huge list of applications.

The New 125×125 FusionFoot.com Logo

I needed a quick but cool 125×125 logo to sign up with Entrecard tonight. Entrecard is a service for blog owners to network with other blog owners/readers. The system works as if you are using a business card which you drop at every site you visit, which has the Entrecard widget. Let’s hope this Internet business card thing gets us some more readers on the blog!

Anyways, so this is what I came up with:

FusionFoot 125 logo

I think it’s not that bad, considering it took me less than 15 minutes to create it with little imagination from my side and huge help from CoolText. I think CoolText.com is becoming one of my favorite logo generators, it’s free, easy to use and you can use the generated graphics in any way you like without permission. What more could a guy without much skills in graphics, like me, want?

I will definitely work on better logos in future (if and when I have time) with graphics that visitors won’t be able to resist clicking on ;) For now, I think the above one will do. What do you think?
