I am an expert author on EzineArticles (EZA), which is something I would have never imagined a few years ago. The reason is because in high school, I hated writing. Actually, I didn’t hate it, but it was always so boring, because I was often asked to write about topics I was least interested in.

These days, I submit a lot of articles to EZA, so I decided to add their widget which displays my recent articles appearing on their website. For those who don’t know, EZA is one of the best article directories on the web, ask any article marketer, they surely will know EzineArticles.

Now I enjoy writing, this blog is one proof, since the last few months, I have been “chatting” so much. Obviously, I always write about topics that interest me, which is why I named this blog, Step In My Fusion World.

Anyways, here’s a screenshot of the widget, that you will find completely at the bottom below the MyBlogLog widget.

A Dual-Display Ebook Reader

Do you feel sick always reading ebooks by staring at your computer screen for hours? Well, soon there is going an easier way to read ebooks and you won’t have to print your whole ebooks ever again. Best of all, it lets you flip the pages naturally like a real book.

“E-book readers like the Kindle may be getting better, but still fall short of the usability of paper books. You can’t turn or flip through pages, or compare different documents as you would with paper. A new prototype with two displays can do all that.”

Robots Inspired By Animals

Science is always going to intrigue us. Watch this video of some on the robots created by researchers, inspired by nature.

The video starts with a robot fish. How cool is that! Now imagine fixing a camera in the fish and you can see the underwater world the way a fish sees it. The video also shows mechanical cockroaches and some sort of self-configuring robots in action.

As we know, Japan is the leader in the world of gadgets. The features in Japanese cellphones will just blow you off. But I believe some phones can only be complicated only to a certain group, for example, the older people find some features complex to use.

“Steve Jobs’ new iPhone, expected to be unveiled Monday, is headed to Japan by the end of the year. But the device’s famed ease of use may actually be a put off in Japan, where consumers want features, not simplicity.”

If you scroll down to the bottom of this blog, you will notice something new that I added a few days ago. It’s right next to the MyBlogLog widget, in the last column. I like to call the “Tip Jar” and here is how it looks like:

Our Tip Jar

The basic idea behind this is the same as those donation buttons you have seen on many sites, except that now, you get something in return too, which is a link in the widget for a period of time. There is also the option to show image links instead of text links. Once again, the links have the nofollow tag, so search enigines are happy too ;)

Why would someone donate or give tips to a site?

I used to think the same too, but many bloggers (including me, in some cases) spend a lot time doing research on a topic and share the information for free on their blogs. So if you loved the post and want to give something in return to the blogger, you might want to donate some money or tip the blogger for his efforts. And now, the tip jar makes it easier!

The tip jar is fun and easy to use and you have full control of the links you want to appear on the widget or not. So go ahead, get your own top spot list(or tip jar)!

Do you use both Facebook and Twitter to keep in touch with friends and family? Do you want your latest tweets to show up on your Facebook profile?

Then use the Twitter application available on Facebook. You can now extend the “What Are You Doing” concept of Twitter to post tweets directly from your Facebook profile. It might make your life easier if you are always hanging out on Facebook, or to keep you Facebook friends updated about what you are doing.

Here is how the application looks like in your profile:

Yep, that’s a tweet about the last post I made on this blog :)

Karate, Taekwondo Or Tricking

Some years ago, I used to practice karate and taekwondo. So, now even though I don’t practice them anymore and I have a tummy which seems to get fatter everyday, I still am deeply interested in martial arts. By that, I mean mostly in movies and competitions and no personal involvement ;)

I came across this two year old video, but a very cool one, showing some type of martial art. I wasn’t aware, but apparently it’s called tricking. I wonder if these tricks can actually help in fighting, but they sure please the eyes. For the people who are not feeling motivated to exercise harder, watch this.

Everybody should watch it anyway. What?? You don’t have a few minutes of your life to spare?? ;)

A PHP Script To Shuffle The Banners

I was looking for a PHP script to shuffle the 125×125 banners on the right column and all I could find were scripts to rotate visibility of multiple banners in one spot. The scripts I found would only show one banner from a list of banners every time the page is loaded. But, what I was looking for, was one script that will change the positions of the banners(shuffling) every time the page is loaded.

So, in the end, I decided to do it myself(of course, with the help of the examples - starting a script from scratch is a real pain!). And yes, the script is ready, you can see it in action here. It’s just a simple page, with the words one, two, three, four, five and six on each line. Each of the words will represent a banner, and you will notice the positions of the words changing every time you hit the refresh button.

I haven’t integrated the shuffling script in the banners on the right column yet, so you won’t see them see them changing positions if you refresh now(at this time of writing). Once I do it, I will start selling them as advertising space for a monthly payment. It’s obvious that each advertiser will have fair chances of their banner showing at the top of the list and hence better chances of getting clicked. Also, I will use the nofollow tag when linking to the advertiser site, to be fair with the search engine. After all, profits come from real human visitors, not robots and crawlers.

Anyways, I’m hoping to add the script in the new few days, so keep checking and if you haven’t subscribed to the feeds yet, do so now to get the blog updates in your inbox.

UPDATE: I have now added the shuffling script on the six 125×125 banners on the right sidebar, so from now, every time this page or any page on FusionFoot.com is loaded, the banners will change positions haphazardly. Next step, I’m going to setup up an “Advertise Here” page to list the advertising options…

Reality Catching Up With Fiction

This is a jaw-dropping idea, just to think of how to make this possible makes my brain go numb. I’m talking about sending scents via phones. Imagine calling someone on your phone and you can smell their perfume and fragrance. Well, although it might have its pleasant advantages, it might also have some unpleasant disadvantages (hint: farts!!) ;-)

German group patents ’smell-phone’
A German syndicate announced this week that it has patented a chip for sending scents via text and multimedia messages.

Subscribe To FusionFoot.com Feeds Part 2

This is an update to Subscribe To FusionFoot.com Feeds which I posted to introduce the email subscription form to subscribe to the feeds of this blog and get the updates delivered to your inbox by Feedburner. The form was initially situated at the bottom the sidebar, but is no longer there.

I believe a lot of the blog readers were not noticing the form at the bottom, so I now moved it in the top bar right under the FusionFoot banner and the subscriptions have increased by atleast 200%. That means I have more loyal readers than I thought I had ;)

Here is a new screenshot of the form:
