Hi there everyone,
Our blog from down the street is now available in eleven languages. You can check out the flags of the different languages available on the sidebar.
To translate the page you’re currently reading is as easy as clicking on the appropriate flag and the translated page is generated or the cached version(if there is one) is presented to you. Although these are machine translated pages, they are not bad at all. I have checked the translation in French and it is totally understandable.
I used the Wordpress Global Translator Plugin from Nothing2Hide.net for this. It’s a free and open source Wordpress plugin and it’s not hard to install either. Just upload the files in your plugins folder, activate the plugin, configure the look for the flags and paste a piece of code in your template where you want to display the flags. The steps are explained in details at the plugin site.
If you find it hard to install the translator plugin by yourself, you can ask a computer savvy friend to help you. You can also contact me if you need help setting it up.
