Today I took a day off at my current job to attend an interview for which I submitted the application almost two months ago. It was for the post of an Assistant Information Technology Lecturer at the Technical School Management Trust Fund. Well, I must say, this is my first interview so far where I have been interviewed by seven people at a time. Actually I’m not even sure if there were seven, I wasn’t counting (lol!).
The funny thing though is that I wasn’t feeling as tensed as I used to be feeling for my earlier interviews which had lesser interviewers. There was a girl in the waiting room who asked me if I’m tensed (she was obviously looking tensed - so I didn’t have to ask) and my answer was “not at all”.
I think I’m doing some improvement in my interview skills, but I don’t think I will get this job. There were many other candidates who had more experience than me. I have just a few months of working experience, that too as a software engineer, not in the teaching field. Anyways, I’m still not sure what I wanna do in life, whether I go towards programming, information security or just start teaching. I believe for many people in this world, there is that one stage of their life where they get a bit confused about the decisions to take for the better future. I guess I’m going through that stage right now.
But I would really prefer getting on Internet Marketing full-time. I need to be sure it can be a reliable and continual source of income before I take a decision like that. Who knows what’s waiting ahead. Let’s just hope everything is gonna go well for everyone.
