Send Free SMS To Your Groups On Google SMS Channel

Now you can send free sms messages/notifications to your groups of friends and family using Google SMS Channels. Te service is available in India. In my opinion, it’s a bit like Twitter, where people can subscribe to your SMS channel (e.g. someone following you on Twitter) and they will get notifications of every updates you make, on their mobiles in India.

You may also choose to create a private groups if you don’t want any Tom, Dick and Harry to subscribe to your group. Again this is similar to the protected updates feature of Twitter. That’s not all, you may also subsribe to receive SMS alerts for other services like jokes, horoscope, etc…
