If you have a Yahoo! account, you can easily send unlimited smses to any mobile networks in India through Yahoo! WebMessenger India. The best part is there is nothing to download or install, you can access the service easily at http://in.webmessenger.yahoo.com from any computer and log in to your account.
After you add your friends’ mobile numbers in the contact list you can easily send and receive sms from them in the “chat window”. You can send sms from anywhere in the world as long as the mobile number is a valid number in India and your friends can reply to those messages and you will receive their reply on Yahoo WebMessenger. It’s really easy and free.
Of course, you can still use it for the normal chats with your friends on Yahoo Messenger and those on Windows Live Messenger as well. There is also a “View more history” feature which I haven’t tried yet but I guess I can set it up to store my previous chats with my friends.
