The “Shiny” Recent Visitors Widget

If you scroll down to the end of my blog, you will notice the new widget I have added in the third column. It’s the recent visitors widget from MyBlogLog. The best part is that MyBlogLog is now owned n serviced by Yahoo!, so you can log in to check out the features using your Yahoo! ID.
Some of you might remember the previous greenish-greyish recent visitor widget from MyBlogLog, but they have completely changed the look now, it’s now the new “shiny” widget and you can choose from a list of colors. Mine is blue because it fits in with the Wordpress theme here.
Inside your MyBlogLog account, you can do many other cool stuffs such as building your community of friends, add your blog feeds, receive and send messages, and much more. Here is a snapshot of how my recent visitor widget looks like now:

I’m a bit lukewarm about My BlogLog. Blog Catalog seems to be more active to me. Also MBL seems to result in me getting a reasonable amount of spam-ish messages. (But I will say the MBL widget is nicer looking).

I just found out about BlogCatalog yesterday on some other blog I was visiting and there is also BumpZee which looks pretty good. I will try them soon.
