The Spooky Psychic Popup

Have you noticed what happens when you place your cursor near the exit button?

That’s the new psychic popup script that I injected in the header of this blog. It pop ups everytime you approach the the exit button, so that’s when it guesses that you are about to close the browser and pop ups the last minute message. I find this pretty cool. For the time being I’ve put the subscription form to the feeds on the popup because I’m still hungry for more readers.
Unfortunately, the script the software generates is encrypted so I still haven’t figured how it does this. But I’m pretty sure it’s a very simple script, just like the unblockable popups that appears when a webpage is loaded. When I have some time, I’ll look into this and if I do manage to write the script, I’ll share it with you all.
As much I as wanted to share this script generator with you, I can’t because I don’t have the giveaway rights but I do have the master resell rights. So, if I can’t write the script that does this, those who are interested can still buy it from it.
UPDATE: After the discussion below with Thion, I have decided to take out the psychic popup from this blog, so you will no longer see it. I think the script was not compatible with some browsers.

Um… Your psychic popup is not working in Opera 9.27 ;). Or maybe it’s not working because I’m psychic myself, I don’t know.
Hi Thion,
I’m not sure about Opera, but I have tried it on Mozilla Firefox and it works fine there. I guess not all browsers are supported.
P.S. It’s not MY script, I got it on a forum on which I was a paid member :)
Lol, so it means it true psychic script - it’s not always working ;).
I’m happy I’m not the one who wrote the script
Maybe it will be spam somehow - but why are you happy it wasn’t you who wrote the script?
[…] in my fusion world“. Just yesterday, I had a discussion in the comments section of the Spooky Psychic Popup post and I came to know something that I was not aware […]
Well no it wasn’t spam, like the annoying popups which keep popping up one after the other. This one actually popped up within the same window and if you went ahead and closed the window, it would dissapear with it. It was useful for a last minute message for your readers though.
I’m happy I didn’t write it myself coz noone can blame me if it really isn’t working on all browsers :)
Heh, just to make things clear - I’m not blaming you :). More than that, I would like to say thanks to person who wrote this script, as thanks to him (her?) I don’t have any pop-up in my browser ;).
Actually, someone more inclined on the marketing side would tell you that the not-so-annoying popups do increase conversion on a website whether for opting in to a newsletter or generating leads to an offer.
Personaly, when I encounter any kind of pop-up’s, I’m just closing website and never coming back. But that’s me :)
Well, that’s you! How many people do we have surfing the web around the world?? Have we reached the billions yet??
But you know, I think it depends on the marketer really, like how they present the popup and make the offer irresistible, not the kind of popups which say “Congratulations, you are the 1000000th visitor” to each and every visitor.
